I found this website and it helps explain organic food, and what companies are supposed to do in order to label their products as "organic":

Here is the website to Rollin' Oats in St. Pete. I shop here frequently and they have a great variety of everything you could imagine!

Thank you for the info Cosmo! I'm definitely going to look into it, and I'll most likely start shopping there as well! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like Rollin' Oats too, I had avoided it too often before because of excuses about how high their prices seem, but I like the idea we talked about in class that even getting organic now and then when we can afford it is a good idea. So even if it's only a few times a semester I want to try shopping there more.
ReplyDeleteAnd just a quick idea, I'm not entirely sure how trustworthy this site is, but I looked at a few and this one seems better than most, it is a site that is supposed to say the seasons for different fruits and vegetables in different areas of the US.

ReplyDeleteI'm officially obsessed with the Rollin' Oats website...there is a recipes section! I think a big problem a lot of people encounter when they start trying to eat healthy is they have no idea what to cook. This section of the site shows that healthy food can still be interesting, and can have more than just two ingredients in it.

That is why I think people tend to stay away from organic food, because there are less ingredients, but there are so many things you can do to spice up a meal...usually with spices! I have learned a lot over the years by making my own dressings and sauces for foods that make them so much tastier!!
